Macarena Junipers

I had been stalking twisted junipers. They are everywhere, but finding the perfect one with the right lighting and the perfect background in a place where I can also find shade for painting is the big challenge. With the government shut-down, I did some exploring outside the park and found these two, looking like they were doing the Macarena Dance! This painting was done plein air during the Moab Plein Air Event.
